Bit, represents a state of mind that stems from the roots of what it means to be human; our intrinsic need to scavenge for the innate truths which are concealed deep in the fabric of life. These fragments and scraps, torn apart through sheer brutality, are the only traces of our panicked efforts to stray beyond our vanities.
With every tear we become more primal until appearances fall away and we remain nothing more than two bare hands in a desolate landscape.
It is here in this wilderness that we begin to understand complexities of what we build up around us and expose them for what they really are; empty vessels waiting to be filled with the projections of the human brain. Giovanni Ricciardi

“Bit in inglese sta come morso, stato morso, ed è per me una traccia che allude ad un passaggio che è avvenuto o è ancora in atto. E’ una metafora di un atteggiamento connaturato all’essere umano, la ricerca continua di una verità che egli pensa gli sfugga e si celi dietro o dentro le cose. Queste porzioni, volti, nature, brandelli rimasti o squarciati con forza, sono la traccia lasciata dalla necessità e speranza di andare oltre le apparenze in una spasmodica quanto inefficace ricerca. Sottrazioni, come una sorta di azione istintiva e metodica e che non portano ad altro che a ritrovarsi a mani nude in uno spazio vuoto. Si sfrondano così continue apparenze a scoprire il vuoto di cui sono fatte le cose.
Sono apparizioni istantanee, che si dichiarano e auto-palesano per quelle che sono, sospese e in attesa di essere riempite fisicamente e mentalmente, di un sogno, dell’ultima proiezione ad opera della mente umana.[…]” Giovanni Ricciardi
